Originally Schoolyard Astronomy, Seeing Stars was started in October 2006 with a focus on astronomy education both at the middle school level as well as observational astronomy at the college level. Seeing Stars includes regular columns in the Huntsville Item newspaper, podcasts, a wikispace containing images taken by Mike Prokosch, and activities at the S.H.S.U. Observatory in Riverside, Texas and the S.H.S.U. Planetarium.
